Who we are
Install Network (“we”, “us”) operates installnetwork.co.uk and a network of home-improvement quote websites, connecting UK homeowners who request quotes with approved installation businesses. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights. It covers our websites, the installer dashboard, and the Install Network mobile app (which provides the same service as the dashboard).

What we collect and why
Homeowner enquiries
When you request a quote through one of our websites, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, contact details, postcode or address, and information about the work you want (for example your property type and preferred timescale). We use this, with your consent given at the form, to pass your enquiry to one matched installation business so they can contact you about your quote. We do not sell your enquiry to multiple companies.
Installer accounts
If you run an installer account with us, we collect your business and contact details (company name, contact name, email, phone, coverage areas), your account activity (leads supplied, account balance, invoices and payment records, support messages), and the preferences you set. We use these to provide the service under our agreement with you — supplying enquiries, billing, account administration and support.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card details go to Stripe, not to us; we keep records of the transactions (amounts, dates, invoice details) for accounting and account administration.
Technical data
We use cookies strictly needed to run the service: a login session cookie for account holders, and a short-lived referral cookie if you arrive via a referral link. If you enable lead alerts, your browser or the app registers a push subscription (a device token) with us so we can send you notifications; you can turn this off at any time in your browser or device notification settings. Our servers keep standard security logs (such as IP addresses) to protect the service.
Lawful bases
We rely on: consent for homeowner enquiries, push notifications and any marketing (which you can withdraw at any time); contract for operating installer accounts, billing and lead supply; and legitimate interests for service administration, security and fraud prevention.
Who we share data with
- Homeowner enquiries are shared with the single installation business matched to the enquiry, so they can provide the quote you asked for. That business becomes a data controller for how they handle your details.
- Service providers (processors) who help us run the platform: Stripe (payments), our hosting providers, our email delivery provider, and browser push-notification relays (such as Google and Mozilla) that deliver notifications to your device. They process data only on our instructions.
- White-label websites: where we operate a branded quote website on behalf of an installation business, that business is the data controller for enquiries made through it and we act as their processor, hosting and operating the site on their behalf.
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
Retention
We keep enquiry and account records only as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal obligations (for example, financial records are kept for the periods required by UK tax law). Push subscriptions are deleted when you disable notifications or when they expire. You can ask us to delete data we no longer need to keep.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@installnetwork.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
The mobile app
The Install Network app for installers provides the same account dashboard as this website and collects no additional data beyond what is described above. Notifications are optional and controlled from your device settings.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email.
